Yellow Sky Heralds

Fearless heralds of the Yellow Sky, whose powerful charge strikes down all who would oppose the Great Peace.

These heralds are eager to convert all who seek to deny the approach of the Yellow Sky. This utter certainty of the arrival of the Great Peace leads them to believe they are invulnerable, and there is some truth in it.

Beneath their yellow robes and Taoist charms, they are well-protected by light armour, trained to parry blows with clubs, impossible to rout, and their charges shake the hardiest of enemies. However, their devotion can easily tip into frenzied fanaticism, sending them on an uncontrollable rampage.

Unit Abilities

  • Caltrops
    Simple nut husks, once trodden upon, cause extreme pain and slow movement.
  • Smoke Screen
    Thick plumes of smoke obscure line of sight, making units seem temporarily invisible.
  • Miasma
    The dense and tough undergrowth that plagues the jungles of the South is a hindrance to all those who try to penetrate into the heartlands of the Nanman.
  • Loose
    The unit spreads apart, making it more difficult for arrows to hit them.

  • HIDE IN FOREST
    Can hide in forests.
  • RAIDER
    Idle soldiers will burn down nearby buildings.
  • UNBREAKABLE
    Does not suffer any morale loss and will never rout.
  • IMPETUOUS
    The unit may decide to attack nearby enemies without orders.

    This unit excels at charging enemy frontlines, slaying all in their path.
  • Unbreakable
    This unit has an unshakable resolve and will fight to the bitter end.
  • Unruly
    These soldiers obey only their own passions. They may charge without orders and act erratically on the battlefield!
