Watchmen of the Peace

Well-trained infantry using powerful crossbows at long range, but also skilled with armour and shield in close combat.

Enter a battle ready for anything and you are far more likely to survive it. These watchmen once guarded cities belonging to tyrannical warlords, but have now joined the Yellow Turbans to guard China’s spirit instead.

Their military training means they are as skilled with the crossbow as their sabres, and well equipped with good armour and helmets. This combined ability to engage in long-range and close combat, whether defensively or offensively, makes them a very flexible – and very valuable – unit on the field.

Unit Abilities

  • Smoke Screen
    Thick plumes of smoke obscure line of sight, making units seem temporarily invisible.
  • Miasma
    The dense and tough undergrowth that plagues the jungles of the South is a hindrance to all those who try to penetrate into the heartlands of the Nanman.
  • Loose
    The unit spreads apart, making it more difficult for arrows to hit them.
