Imperial Palace Cavalry

The vast imperial palatial grounds are defended by many warriors and none more fearsome than the sword-wielding cavalry guard.

The imperial palaces at Luoyang are the nexus of power for the Han dynasty, from which all authority flows outward across the realm. It is just, therefore, that the capital - and the palaces - are defended by the very best.

The Imperial Palace Cavalry ride out armed with crossbows as well as sabres. This allows them to soften up enemies before a charge or ride at range whilst peppering the enemy with fire, because in defence of the dynasty, every strategy must be employed.

Unit Abilities

  • Loose
    The unit spreads apart, making it more difficult for arrows to hit them.
  • Imperial Solidarity
    Whilst in the presence of other imperial forces, enemy blows will strike false more often, whilst their own will strike harder.
  • Miasma
    The dense and tough undergrowth that plagues the jungles of the South is a hindrance to all those who try to penetrate into the heartlands of the Nanman.

    Skirmishers serve to distract and soften up enemy troops, and are almost impossible to run down as they harass their targets.

    This unit will keep fighting even when others have already routed.
