Galatia

Fierce warriors and highly prized mercenaries, the Galatians crossed the Bosporus at the beginning of the third century BC, eventually settling in Asia Minor. Celts of Gallic decent, they are formed from three tribes, the Tectosages, Tolistobogii, and Trocmi, who come together in council at Drynemeton, a sacred grove of oaks. As the campaign begins the Galatians are surrounded by Hellenistic neighbours still reeling from the latest wars between Alexander’s Successors, and their opportunities for expansion are many. They could continue to dominate Asia Minor or push through Pontic or Seleucid lands towards the sea, and the untold riches to be plundered beyond.
