Rakarth (Scourgerunner Chariot)

The Beastlord of Karond Kar possesses an innate cruelty and bloodlust instinctively sensed by all creatures bent to his will.

Amongst the Dark Elves there have been many famous Beastmasters in the past, but Rakarth, the Beastlord of Karond Kar, has no equal, living or dead. Leading an army of monsters and beasts unlike the world has ever seen, Rakarth dons a tall helm that accentuates his slender form but covers most of his facial features. None, however, can mistake the light shining from his eyes like coals in the night, betokening an intrinsic power to project fear and instil subservience into his monstrous minions. Mounted upon a saddle lined with human skin, Rakarth soars into battle atop Bracchus, an ebon-scaled Wyrm said to be one of the most cruel-hearted Black Dragons to ever take to the sky.

Abilities

  • Beastslaver
Beastmasters share their minions’ belligerence, cutting down foemen with lash, spear, and harpoon before claiming their twitching bodies as fodder.
  • Whiplash!
The startling crack of the Beastmaster’s hefty and ever-so-slightly serrated whip of Dragon-sinew suitably infuriates the beasts for battle.
  • Murderous Prowess
Slaughter! There is no greater glorification of Khaine, the God of Murder, and no more popular form of worship amongst the Dark Elves. It is through killing that Dark Elves rise above other beings. Once engulfed in enough bloodshed, they will often feel their murderous prowess increase, as if Khaine himself was guiding the blades of his disciples.
  • Murderous Prowess Indicator
Once enough blood has been shed, the Dark Elves’ murderous prowess increases, as if Khaine himself was guiding his disciples' blades!
  • Beastlord's Gaze
With a piercing stare, Rakarth makes known his innate cruelty and bloodlust to his beastly kindred spirits, thus subduing them.

Attributes

  • Encourage
This unit provides a Lord's aura and an encouraging unit will receive the larger of the two bonuses.
  • Hide (forest)
This unit can hide in forests until enemy units get too close.

Strengths & Weaknesses

  • Armoured
Armoured units can block damage from any source apart from Armour-Piercing damage.
  • Very Fast
This unit can run circles around most other units, taunting and harassing the enemy or evading its missile fire.
  • Armour-Piercing Missiles
The damage of armour-piercing weapons mostly ignores the armour of the target, making them the ideal choice against heavily-armoured enemies. They are often heavier and attack at a slower rate though, making them less efficient against poorly-armoured targets.
