Livestock & Pastures

Sheep are a valuable source of milk, cheese, wool and meat. Along with goats, sheep require adequate land set aside for grazing and, of course, plenty of water. During Italy's hot summers, such needs are often hard to meet. The purchase and breeding of larger specimens requires capital which not many of our people possess. Sheep and cattle can generally only be found within the households of the wealthy, who own some of the large pastures towards the coast and are therefore able to maintain ever-larger herds.
