Hameau oriental (plomb)

Infanterie de mêlée / Infanterie de lanciers / (AOR_20_arabian_auxiliaries) Arabioi Katadromeis (Arabian Auxiliaries) Arabian auxiliaries form irregular units useful for long-range operations, especially in the desert. They can afford a light and cheap helmet like the Boeotian one, also used by many other troops. |

Infanterie de mêlée / Infanterie de lanciers / (AOR_6_Germanic_Levies) Gaizoz Frije (Germanic Levies) Gaizoz Frije, whose name also means “Free Spears,” are composed largely of local farmers and hunters, Germanic freemen of the lowest rank, accustomed to frequent raids and tribal warfare from a young age. According to Germanic tradition, as soon as these men receive their gaizaz (spear) and skelduz (shield), they are frije (free) adults, charged with equal shares and responsibilities in the tribe. Frije also means one's own, for to belong is to fulfill the duties of being free. |

Infanterie de mêlée / Infanterie de lanciers / (nab_bedouin_spearmen) Istrate Bedawi (Bedouin Spearmen) Most people settle near rivers, but the Bedouin people prefer to live in the open desert. These spearmen can be expected to do their job well as light infantry, but their lack of armour means they will have problems facing more heavily equipped infantry. |

Infanterie de mêlée / Infanterie de lanciers / (nab_levy_spearmen) Istratin (Nabataean Levy Spearmen) These urbanites are the core of the Nabataean military machine. Armed with sturdy spears and leather or wicker shields, these men are far more capable of holding the line of battle than their lighter counterparts in tribal levies. |

Infanterie lance-projectiles / Infanterie lance-projectiles / (nab_slingers) Muqala'in (Nabataean Slingers) Slingers are common in Arabian armies, being levied from the nomadic tribes. These men are mostly lower class herders. The tribesmen are not wealthy, so they march to war in only their simple garments, carrying a light shield and their own, often homemade sling, in addition to a dagger for self-defence. |
