"Khevsureti - one of the most beautiful mountainous region of east Georgia. It was there over a period of centuries that the unique cultures Khevsurs, Pshavs, Tush’s were created. One of basic elements of these original cultures was a systematized military infrastructure. Khevsurs, as well as the other mountain tribes, perfected their own art of fighting. In the Middle Ages Khevurs were granted their own special divisions in the royal army of Georgia. Proud and aggressive Khevsurs, being free and independent from the feudal lords, were often called in service of the Georgian kings.
克黑蘇拉提為格魯吉亞東部風景極為優美的山區，在數個世紀的漫長歲月中，這裡形成了獨特的克黑蘇、普夏夫和塔什文化，嚴密軍事體系為這些山地文明的重要組成部分。與其它山地部落類似，克黑蘇勇士對傳統作戰方式情有獨鍾，故而在中世紀時期，克黑蘇部隊在格魯吉亞軍中自成一旅。由於他們的尚武傳統和剽悍戰力，即便從封建領主處獲得獨立成為自由民後，克黑蘇部隊仍不時響應國王徵召，奔赴沙場奮勇作戰。
