Archer Gang

A bow is simple to use and difficult to master. Luckily, mastery is not a requirement of participation.

Those who hear and believe in the Yellow Turban cause also know that they must fight to see their futures realised. They may be of insignificant stock and lacking in any real martial training, yet all the same they must rise to fight.

Lightly armoured and handed a bow, these warriors take aim at the warriors of a corrupt dynasty and pray their aim is true. If it is not, however, there are always many more arrows to be loosed.

Unit Abilities

  • Smoke Screen
    Thick plumes of smoke obscure line of sight, making units seem temporarily invisible.
  • Miasma
    The dense and tough undergrowth that plagues the jungles of the South is a hindrance to all those who try to penetrate into the heartlands of the Nanman.
  • Loose
    The unit spreads apart, making it more difficult for arrows to hit them.

    Can hide in forests.

Strengths & Weaknesses

  • Role: rear line
    These troops are best placed at the rear of an army, where they can cause damage from a position of relative safety.
  • Poor in melee
    This unit is poor when fighting hand-to-hand. Try to keep it away from enemy formations.
  • Weak against cavalry
    This unit is very vulnerable to cavalry charges, especially to the flanks.
