Trading posts can be erected along routes where silk goods are transported, providing a hub where silk expeditions can be organised and the goods themselves bought and sold.

When entering one of these posts, the customer is immediately struck by the abundance of rich colours and patterns, and half the merchant’s work is already done.

Upon request, a bundle of silk can be unrolled to allow the buyer to run their hands over the smooth, luxurious material, and it only remains for the merchant to match the customer’s taste to the contents of their purse.
