A warrior needs a weapon he can rely on.

Due to the tribal practice of making votive offerings to gods of rivers and waterways, many bronze artefacts have been discovered at the bottom of lakes and rivers all over Europe. The River Thames in London, England must have held particular significance to the local tribes as a number of bronze work pieces have been discovered on the bottom over the years. The Waterloo Helmet, a ceremonial piece with two horns, was discovered in 1868, and the Wandsworth and Battersea shields were also recovered from the river and now reside in the British Museum. Like the helmet, the Battersea Shield is thought to be a ceremonial piece as there is no evidence of damage and no sign that it was ever attached to a wooden base, which would have given it the strength it required to be battle ready.

They lead a simple life, sleeping on the ground and letting their hair stream down in thick masses in the manner of women.

2	300	Melee Infantry / Melee Infantry / (Ibe_Lusotannan_Asturian_Axemen) Clona Tekonac (Northern Axemen) (Klon-ah Tek-oh-nuk; "Axemen of the North") The Astures and the Cantabri are groups of indigenous tribes with a similar Celtic-influenced but distinctive culture, which are known for their ferocity, lust for freedom, and indomitable character.

3	200	Melee Infantry / Spear Infantry / (Ibe_Lusotannan_Medium_Spearmen) Scortamareva (Lusitani Medium Spearmen) Scortamareva (Skor-tam-ar-eev-ah; "Long-Shield Carriers") are some of the most well-equipped and heavily armed warriors the Lusotannan can muster. They are a fierce, well-drilled and well-equipped force, making them great medium infantry. They are armed with a well-made Iberian steel shortsword, a bronze breastplate, greaves, a bronze Montefortino helmet, and well-made javelins and spear.

4	200	Melee Infantry / Melee Infantry / (Ibe_Lusotannan_Shock_Inf) Ambakaro (Lusitani Elite Shock Infantry) Ambakaro (Am-bak-ar-oh; "Arms Bearers") are men that have proved their valour and dedication to their chieftains in the heat of battle. They use their trademark bronze helmets with the "bucula" ("facemask") along with the steel falcata swords and caetra shields common to other Iberian warriors.

5	175	Missile Infantry / Missile Infantry / (Ibe_Lusotannan_Skirm) Cateramuniti (Lusitani Levy Skirmishers) The Cateramuniti are the most common skirmishers in any Lusitanian force. Used to harass and antagonise the enemy with showers of iron-tipped javelins, they weave to and fro, avoiding direct hand-to-hand combat whenever possible. These warbands are the lightest and among the most 'annoying' harassment troops in Iberia. They cause many casualties, before retreating back into the night or hills, and attacking again the following day.

6	175	Missile Infantry / Missile Infantry / (Ibe_Lusotannan_Slingers) Bouti (Lusitani Slingers) With the abandonment of the bow by the end of the Bronze Age, the sling is the only long-ranged missile weapon to be found in 3rd century Iberia. It has always been the weapon of choice of the shepherd, who relies on its range and accuracy to keep predators such as wolves and lynxes from threatening his valuable flock.

7	300	Melee Infantry / Spear Infantry / (Ibe_Lusotannan_Vet_Shield_Warriors) Gestikapoinann (Lusitani Veteran Warriors) Among the most able and skilled warriors, these veterans assume a more permanent warrior role near their chieftains. Used to taking advantage of the spoils of war that more professional fighters are able to enjoy, these men are therefore better equipped than the lighter Caetrati, with a breastplate and leather armour supplementing their "bascinet"-type bronze helm.

They wield spears, and use the gladii or falcatas hanging from their waist to deadly effect.
