High Queen Khalida (Skeleton Chariot)

Khalida marches to war with all the poise she had in life, yet more brutal and merciless than ever.

Khalida Neferher, the Warrior-Queen of Lybaras, was highly respected across all the lands of Nehekhara. Her intelligence and bravery were as legendary as her intense sense of honour and justice. Her reign was tragically short, as she was cut down in her prime, and all of Nehekhara mourned her passing. Khalida was embalmed and placed in a seated position within a specially made reliquary. There she sits unmoving, her face concealed behind a beautiful death mask created in her likeness. In times of need Khalida awakens, and the power of Asaph infuses her mummified remains. Her flesh returns to its former beauty, gradually becoming as pale and hard as pristine white marble. Gracefully, she rises from her throne and glides across the temple floor, commanding the tall heavy doors to open with a delicate motion of her hand. Her famed archer legions, buried in vast tomb pits beside the temple, arise at her bidding, marching alongside their immortal warrior-queen as they did in life, bringing death to those that intrude upon her realm.

Abilities

  • Tombstrike
He whose will transcends death can strike out from beyond the grave, to devastating effect.
  • Blessing of Asaph
The Asp Goddess healing touch floods Khalida's body, permeating the husk of her corpse and snapping her back to vital, vengeful Unlife.
  • Venom Wave
Even if you survive the explosion, a surge of noxious fumes follows in its deadly wake.
  • My Will Be Done
Death is no obstacle to those with unalterable, unassailable determination.
  • The Curse
Like an insect sting at the point of death, striking out at the killer, sapping their strength as if shot by a thousand arrows.
  • Disintegrating
The Dark Magic that holds these subjects together has failed. As the necromantic energy flows out of them, nothing is left but a pile of iron and bones in the sand.
  • Crumbling
In the blasted desert of deepest Nehekhara, the dead rarely remain so. Those dragged back to screaming, clanking Unlife are bound forever to the Tomb King whose will they exist only to serve.

Attributes

  • Causes Fear
This unit frightens all enemy units, reducing their leadership when nearby. It is also immune to fear. Fear penalties do not stack.
  • Encourage
This unit provides a Lord's aura and an encouraging unit will receive the larger of the two bonuses.
  • Hide (forest)
This unit can hide in forests until enemy units get too close.
  • {{tr:wh2_dlc09_undead_description}}

Strengths & Weaknesses

  • Armoured
Armoured units can block damage from any source apart from Armour-Piercing damage.
  • Anti-Infantry
Anti-infantry units have an advantage against targets that are smaller than a horse. This advantage can be a damage bonus against small targets, superior weight used to smash through lighter enemies, or an explosive attack from range that affects a large area.
  • Poison Attacks
The poisonous attacks of this unit weaken the target's speed and damage.
