Liburna - Epilektoi Pelekuphoroi
A liburna is a light war galley of Illyrian design with two rows of oarsmen, but lighter and faster than a standard bireme. Ideal for use in raiding and coastal patrol, this ship would soon be adopted by Rome and become the most common ship in later Roman fleets.

These fast, hardy troops are best used in ambushes, hit-and-run attacks, or flanking manoeuvres against heavier warriors, but are fierce enough to stand in the battle line if the situation demands it.
