The Second Legion

Life has been harsh for several decades; Italy has been undergoing a period of diminishing resources and stagnating trade. During this time, we have needed all manpower available to us and have therefore reduced the qualifications needed for military service to a minimum. Leather, for example, was widely used for most defensive equipment. During that time, we've had trouble raising a single legion of six thousand infantry. However, those days are finally over - now, we are growing in both power and in prestige. The creation of our second legion is categorical proof of our ascent.
