Menzilli Piyade / Menzilli Piyade / (AOR_10_Dart_Slingers) Kestrosphendones (Dart Slingers) The kestros is a dart thrown by a specially made sling, or propelled by a staff on a sling. It takes a long time to reload, but allows for more deadly and accurate shots than any other weapon of the time if correctly used, thanks to the shape of the darts, which can fly straight and precise trajectories. This weapon is mentioned in a Polybian account about new weapons in the army of Perseus, shortly before the last open confrontation between the Macedonians and the Roman Republic (169-168 BCE)."""" |

Menzilli Piyade / Menzilli Piyade / (AOR_27_Subeshi_Archers) Paya Hinam Dunai Purma (Subeshi Archers) These archers wear a felt helmet, leather leggings, and a thick sheepskin coat with the wool turned inside-out, and carry a recurved composite bow. The bows they carry are a larger version of the Scythian recurved composite bow, enabling them to outrange, outshoot, and outpower other steppe nomad horse archers, making these foot bowmen the ideal counter to horse archers in a stationary exchange of missiles. |

Yakın Piyade / Mızraklı Piyade / (kar_levy_spear) Spa (Kartvelian Levy Spearmen) These men are typical of the Caucasians who emerge from their mountains to raid the more fertile lowlands. To outsiders, the hillmen are a wild savage people, but they are also skilled hunters, making them superb ambushers. Armed with spears, swords, and round shields, they are a valuable addition to many forces. |

Menzilli Piyade / Menzilli Piyade / (kar_slinger) Meshurduleni (Kartvelian Slingers) Slingers are highly skilled missile troops, but are at a huge disadvantage in hand-to-hand combat, especially against cavalry. They can maintain a sustained and concentrated barrage on enemies, and then fall back rapidly to avoid hand-to-hand combat. |
