Konie odgrywały w kulturze Celtów ważną rolę, zarówno pod względem duchowym, jak i praktycznym. Wielu rzymskich pisarzy wspominało o niezrównanej umiejętności jazdy konnej Celtów, a niektórzy uznawali celtyckich najemników za najlepszych jeźdźców w rzymskiej armii. Rzymianie przyjęli nawet celtyckie bóstwo w nadziei dorównania im w tej kwestii. Bogini Epona jako jedna z nielicznych została przyjęta do rzymskiego panteonu praktycznie bez zmian, choć z czasem jej patronat rozszerzył się na wszystkich zajmujących się końmi, wcześniej bowiem opiekowała się samymi zwierzętami. Była popularnym bóstwem wśród rzymskich jeźdźców – jej kult rozprzestrzenił się wszędzie tam, gdzie obecna była rzymska jazda.

They are nobles of the highest rank, chosen from veteran noble cavalrymen as well as "companions," or nobles of the same house. Highly skilled and equipped, they can give the supreme crushing blow that disrupts enemy formations, allowing other units to exploit gaps in the enemy line.

They would probaly not dismount, to allow them the ability to quickly flee and charge again, in the same manner as the noble charioteers of some Celtic tribes.

They are equipped with several affordable gaiso javelins for skirmishing, and also for close combat. Best for harrassing enemy light infantry and cavalry, they protect the flanks of the army and can drive away enemy cavalry.

4	100	Jazda / Jazda do walki w zwarciu / (cel_tyl_medium_cav) Gaiseporedes (Celtic Medium Cavalry) These cavalrymen are generally not nobles, but warriors wealthy enough to afford a horse. They were versatile troops, carrying several javelins, a spear, and a sword or even an axe.

It is designed, like a heavy pilum, to pierce any shield or armour, as well as injuring or killing any enemy fighters counterattacking the light forward troops.

6	175	Piechota miotająca / Piechota miotająca / (cel_tyl_skirm) Gaisates (Naked Spearmen) The Gaisates are naked or half-naked warriores armed with gaeso spears as their main weapons. They are posted to the rear of the army, and then moved to the forefront during the "tumultus gallicus" which precedes the assault.
