Wojownik nie może ruszyć do boju, dosiadając owcy!Konie odgrywały w kulturze Celtów ważną rolę, zarówno pod względem duchowym, jak i praktycznym. Wielu rzymskich pisarzy wspominało o niezrównanej umiejętności jazdy konnej Celtów, a niektórzy uznawali celtyckich najemników za najlepszych jeźdźców w rzymskiej armii. Rzymianie przyjęli nawet celtyckie bóstwo w nadziei dorównania im w tej kwestii. Bogini Epona jako jedna z nielicznych została przyjęta do rzymskiego panteonu praktycznie bez zmian, choć z czasem jej patronat rozszerzył się na wszystkich zajmujących się końmi, wcześniej bowiem opiekowała się samymi zwierzętami. Była popularnym bóstwem wśród rzymskich jeźdźców – jej kult rozprzestrzenił się wszędzie tam, gdzie obecna była rzymska jazda.
