Cercle des bardes

Avec le chant et la poésie, on honore la gloire des morts.

On n'en sait que peu sur certaines pratiques des druides. Des écrivains classiques affirmaient que ces hommes mystérieux refusaient d'écrire leurs secrets et préféraient transmettre leur savoir de génération en génération à l'oral. L'écrivain Diodore de Sicile fut le premier à émettre l'idée qu'il existait des rôles distincts dans le système des druides et ce fut Strabon qui les divisa en trois classes différentes. Il y avait ceux qui étudiaient la philosophie morale, les « druidai », ceux qui étaient médiums et spécialistes du monde naturel, les « o'vateis » et les poètes et chanteurs, les « bardoi ». Les bardoi, ou bardes, étaient responsables de transmettre l'Histoire par la poésie ou le chant. L'Histoire incluait toujours les actions courageuses des guerriers et le savoir des dieux et du monde naturel.

La Tene two-handed swords are used in several regions, but are not overly popular because they are expensive and difficult to make. Moreover, the methods required to wield such a weapon often disallows for the wearing of much armour."
