Grâce aux pratiques tribales consistant à faire des offrandes votives aux dieux des rivières et des passages fluviaux, beaucoup d'artefacts de bronze furent découverts au fond des lacs et des rivières partout en Europe. La Tamise, à Londres, a sûrement joué un rôle important dans la vie des tribus locales car des tas d'objets en bronze y furent dénichés au fil des années. Le casque du Waterloo Bridge, une accessoire cérémonial comprenant deux cornes, fut repêchée en 1868. Des boucliers de Battersea refirent également surface avant de se retrouver au British Museum. Tout comme le casque, le bouclier de Battersea était probablement un objet de cérémonie : intact, aucun signe ne semble démontrer qu'il fut attaché à une base de bois, ce qui lui aurait donné la force requise pour affronter le champ de bataille.

They are a fierce, well-drilled and well-equipped force, making them great medium infantry. They are armed with a well-made Iberian steel shortsword, a bronze breastplate, greaves, a bronze Montefortino helmet, and well-made javelins and spear.

They use their trademark bronze helmets with the "bucula" ("facemask") along with the steel falcata swords and caetra shields common to other Iberian warriors.

5	175	Infanterie lance-projectiles / Infanterie lance-projectiles / (Ibe_Lusotannan_Skirm) Cateramuniti (Lusitani Levy Skirmishers) The Cateramuniti are the most common skirmishers in any Lusitanian force. Used to harass and antagonise the enemy with showers of iron-tipped javelins, they weave to and fro, avoiding direct hand-to-hand combat whenever possible. These warbands are the lightest and among the most 'annoying' harassment troops in Iberia. They cause many casualties, before retreating back into the night or hills, and attacking again the following day.

It has always been the weapon of choice of the shepherd, who relies on its range and accuracy to keep predators such as wolves and lynxes from threatening his valuable flock.
