Great Hall

Power is a curious thing: it must be seen to be believed.

Many of the tribal leaders who fought the Romans are remembered as noble adversaries who stood against the Roman war machine but were ultimately crushed by it. There were those who chose to accept Roman rule in order to protect their people. Cartimandua, queen of the Briganti tribe in Britannia, chose to ally herself with Rome after witnessing the devastation of the southern British tribes. Fleeing for his life, the leader of the Catuvellauni tribe, Caratacus, sought refuge with Cartimandua. Rather than break her alliance with Rome she gave up Caratacus to the Romans in chains. Her peace was eventually broken when her ex-husband rose up against her, plunging her people back into war with Rome.

Drwdae Cingetoi
(Belgae Druidic Guard)

Druids of course never fight. To protect them, professional warriors are chosen by the local chieftain, and attached to their service. Good armour, a longsword, and heavy javelins make them impressive attackers, and very skilled, high-spirited opponents.

Cauaros
(Belgae Elite Spearmen)

These champions are heavy, disciplined spearmen. They use finely made leather and chainmail armour, as well as a long spear. They cannot be compared with elite hoplites because of their real indvidual fighting skills that largely outmatch any opponents.
