Atropatkan Nobles Minor Settlement (Salt) Level 1
Eastern Hamlet (Salt)

Nahkampfinfanterie / Speerinfanterie / (Eas_Atr_Elite_Shield_Bearers) Vazraka Sparabara (Elite Shield Bearers) The Sparabara are recruited from full members of Persian society. They are trained from childhood to be soldiers, and when not called out to fight on campaigns in distant lands, they practice hunting on the vast plains of Persia. |

Nahkampfinfanterie / Speerinfanterie / (Eas_Atr_Shield_Bearers) Sparabara (Shield Bearers) The Sparabara, meaning "shield bearers" in Persian, are usually the first to engage in hand-to-hand combat with the enemy. These soldiers are armoured in quilted linen and carry large rectangular wicker shields as a form of light manoeuvrable defence. |

Nahkampfinfanterie / Speerinfanterie / (Eas_Atr_Spear) Gund-i Nizagan (Eastern Spearmen) These poorly trained levy infantry are armed with a spear and a leather-covered wicker shield. Spearmen such as these are trained to form ordered ranks and to march in step. Grouping together bolsters morale and the shieldwall helps to neutralise arrows. |
