Pěchota pro boj zblízka / Pěchota s kopími / (AOR_23_hellenic_medium_inf) Thureophoroi Indohellenikoi (Indo-Hellenic Thureos Spears) These spearmen are the lightest component of the regular Indo-Greek phalanx line, equipped with a fairly light linothorax and pteryges, and an equally light helm, though a heavy thureos shield and bronze greaves afford them substantially greater defensive coverage then the traditional hoplitai of distant Hellas. |

Pěší střelci / Střelecká pěchota / (AOR_23_hellenic_peltasts) Peltastai Indohellenikoi (Indo-Hellenic Peltasts) Gone is the close phalanx formation and the long spear, replaced by a somewhat looser but more skilled melee formation. They wear Phrygian style helmets, light cotton Thracian trousers, and carry javelins, in addition to a smaller and lighter shield. The Indo-Greeks have adapted quite well to the environment of India and have prospered. Many have become Buddhists, though they still remain fierce warriors, true to their Hellenic forefathers. |

Jízda / Kontaktní jízda / (AOR_23_iranian_light_cav) Kamboja Asvaka Ksatriya (Indo-Iranian Light Cavalry) Master horsemen and horse traders, Kambojas never leave an opportunity to plunder using their light cavalry. Living on both sides of the Khyber Pass, they are a part of the Arya races which stormed and conquered India, some 1500 years before. Their helmet is an evolved Boiotian one, and their primary cuirass is a quilted silk one. Their weapons are clearly Hellenic: a round aspis shield, a short kontos spear that could be held underarm in a couched stance, and a sturdy kopis for when the spear gives way."" |

Pěchota pro boj zblízka / Pěchota s píkami / (AOR_29_chalybes_spearmen) Chalyboi Doryphoroi (Chalybes Spearmen) The armour of these spearmen consists of a leather helmet, greaves, and a long quilted linen tunic. Instead of the leather pteryges of a Greek corselet, the Chalybes have plaited cords to provide protection below the cuirass. Their main weapon is a long spear. They are useful against light infantry, but their lack of shields means they are vulnerable to enemy arrows. |

Pěší střelci / Střelecká pěchota / (Ger_scandinavian_Skirmishers) Sitones Swajut (Scandinavian Skirmishers) The Sitones are a Germanic or Finnic people who reside just above the Suiones (Swedes). It is said that these people are very much like the Suiones, except they are ruled by a woman, which goes against the Germanic custom. Each warrior is armed with a bundle of throwing spears, a slightly longer spear for melee, and a stout ovular shield, but they do not wear armour. |

In warfare it is up to each man to prove his own bravery and worth, so their uniquely savage charge into the enemy enables them to perform slightly better than their neighbours in that respect. |

Pěchota pro boj zblízka / Kontaktní pěchota / (Ger_Sloxonez) Slaganz (Germanic Clubmen) Although the club is a crude and primitive weapon, it is still widely used by many nations throughout the known world. A club is efficient against shields, and especially any unit in a shieldwall, the most common tactic of any Celtic army. Suebi clubmen use a light, one-handed club, so they can carry and throw javelins at the same time. |

Pěchota pro boj zblízka / Pěchota s píkami / (Ger_Speudogordoz) Markamannoz Speutagardaz (Markamannoz Pikemen) The Markamannoz are a famous tribe, warlike but organised on the battlefield. Among the elites, they have famous spearmen, the Speutagardaz. They are skilled enough to form impressive shieldwalls with five meter long spears, a rather unusual feature. Speutagardaz use long spears with a short and narrow head. They are well equipped, probably having light axes, reinforced leather armor, and a leather and scale helmet, which is lighter and cheaper than the usual iron helmet, but highly protective. |
