Qiang Warriors

Those the Han call barbarians are just warriors determinedly defending their home against invaders.

When the need arises, a general should have no qualms about recruiting non-standard forces to aid in battle. The Qiang, a collection of tribal peoples from beyond the borders, are fierce warriors with unconventional fighting styles.

Armed with dual axes or a heavy mace, Qiang warriors waste no time getting right into the centre of a melee, bludgeoning and dismembering with abandon and little regard for their own safety or lives.

Unit Abilities

  • Caltrops
    Simple nut husks, once trodden upon, cause extreme pain and slow movement.
  • Smoke Screen
    Thick plumes of smoke obscure line of sight, making units seem temporarily invisible.
  • Miasma
    The dense and tough undergrowth that plagues the jungles of the South is a hindrance to all those who try to penetrate into the heartlands of the Nanman.
  • Loose
    The unit spreads apart, making it more difficult for arrows to hit them.

    Reduces nearby enemy morale. Does not stack.
  • HIDE IN FOREST
    Can hide in forests.
  • IMMUNE TO SCARE
    Immune to scare effects.

  • Role: assault
    This unit excels at charging enemy frontlines, slaying all in their path.
  • Good against shields
    This unit causes extra damage against shielded enemies.
  • Poor morale
    This unit is likely to flee quickly when it suffers casualties or is involved in a losing battle.
