Hereditary Buqu

There are always warriors ready to fight if you have the coin to employ them. Men who know nothing but the endless fight eschew the reality of 'normal' living in China, instead seeking gainful employment through their skill at arms.

Known as 'buqu', they are essentially private armies with a hereditary power structure - they rose to prominence during the Han dynasty as the government forewent standing armies in favour of temporary conscription.
