Tower of Silence

死者不能污染土壤，火或水。

天葬，被腐屍鳥類啃食，是葬禮的一種。屍體被放在有一個高平台的塔上讓鳥類和自然來消耗他們肉體只留下骨架。這些寂塔或「寂靜之塔」通常被造在人居住地之外，因為死人被認為需要安靜。骨頭最後被收集放在骨罐裡，存放在塔裡或者神殿裡。

在拜火教，認為死屍是污染土地和火的純潔的，被脫去肉的屍體被放在一個像井一樣的結構裡叫阿斯圖單；石灰和雨水會分解骨頭。被木炭和砂石過濾之後，水被允許流回到水循環裡。
