由於長久以來部落居民對河神的祭祀，今天歐洲各地的湖底與河底都能發掘出年代久遠的青銅祭品。從大英博物館珍藏的出土青銅器來看，英國倫敦的泰晤士河對當時的土著居民一定有非常重要的意義，1868年人們在這裡找到了一頂沃特盧的頭盔，一隻有兩角的典禮用品殘片以及來自旺茲沃思和巴特西的盾牌。人們相信這些盾牌和頭盔也是祭祀用品，因為上面沒有任何戰痕。
