重騎兵用種畜場

高大的馬匹為了有耐力和力量成為重騎兵的坐騎而培育出來。

東方騎兵人馬皆備鱗甲乃是受希臘和波斯的騎兵風格影響並加以改良的結果。塞琉西國王擁有兩支千人規模的精銳騎兵近衛隊。裝甲騎兵隊的概念由安條克三世在帕提亞重甲騎兵的基礎上加以定義。以亞歷山大和帕提亞人為榜樣，東方的將軍們把裝甲騎兵用到了出神入化的地步，他們會讓裝甲騎兵以楔形的陣型沖入敵軍方陣中干擾敵軍的側翼包抄方案並打亂方陣的防禦使其更易被擊潰。
