Чистокровные лошади - для лучших всадников.

На развитие восточной конницы оказали влияние как греки, так и персы. В восточных странах, особенно в Парфии, большой популярностью пользовалась чешуйчатая броня катафрактариев, которая защищала и всадника, и коня. По образцу парфянских катафрактариев Антиох III создал в армии Селевкидов два отряда элитной конницы гетайров ("соратников") по тысяче всадников в каждом. У парфян и войск Александра Македонского полководцы переняли тактику, при которой тяжелая конница сминала вражеских всадников, а затем прорывалась на фланг пехоты. Особенно страшным был удар кавалерийского клина, который распарывал строй.

The man in front appears to have a sword, and the man in back may have a bow. There are always two horses, but the box, its position, the number of spokes, wheel construction, and the number of men (1-3) are highly variable and often not very realistic.
