Most armies use poorly equipped levies as skirmishers, very often as javelinmen, since these troops require relatively little training and financial investment, relying mostly on widespread natural skills and scant gear. |

Кавалерия / Стрелки-всадники / (AOR_26_Yuezhi_Archers) Jamsya Yukhuna Duna Purma (Yuezhi Horse Archers) These horsemen make up the backbone of the Yuezhi cavalry, as horse-archers. As such, they are armed with extremely powerful composite bows of the asymmetrical, or "Hunnic" style. Their qualities as archers are offset by their performance in melee, as they are lightly armed and wear little to no armour. Used wisely, these mounted archers are a danger to any ill-prepared enemy. |

Кавалерия / Конница ближнего боя / (AOR_5_Germanic_Cavalry) Reidonez (Germanic Cavalry) Reidonez ride small and sometimes poor quality horses, though they are excellent light cavalry. They are useful as scouts as well as skirmishers. However, like many Germanic warriors, they can lack battle-discipline and be overeager to enter battle against worthy opponents. This can lead them to be headstrong and difficult to restrain before a fight, as personal glory gained in battle is always welcome. Honour and standing come from fighting, and sometimes the urge for glory overwhelms their good sense! |

Пехота ближнего боя / Пехота ближнего боя / (Ger_Baltic_Light_Infantry) Kirslininkas (Baltic Light Axemen) The western Balts know and use iron, and are wealthy from the amber trade. Thus, they are probably able to field a regular army in times of need. Armed with iron-tipped spears and battle axes, the Kirslininkas (Axemen) take part in the wars and battles of the northern lands. |

Пехота ближнего боя / Пехота ближнего боя / (ger_lugii_baltic_clubmen) Perkwunas (Baltic Clubmen) The warriors in this unit are not necessarily poor, but rather choose to fight with the club instead of the spear. Most are armed with a wooden club, but some prefer an axe of the socketed variety. For protection, these warriors only use a lightweight wooden shield. Some have a reinforced metal shield boss and some metal shield rim protection, but most do not. |

Стрелки-пехотинцы / Стрелки-пехотинцы / (Ger_Lugii_Heavy_Skirmishers) Nakwadaz (Eastern Germanic Medium Skirmishers) These naked spearmen are the Germanic replica of the Gaisates, except that they use more crude weapons, the framea being too expensive and heavy to be carried by a skirmisher. However, they are still heavy skirmishers, relying on their speed to outflank the enemy, before launching their missiles in the hope of causing disarray within the enemy ranks. They fight nude or half-nude to preserve freedom of movement, and keep a framea for close combat if needed. |

Пехота ближнего боя / Пехота с пиками / (Ger_Lugii_Pikemen) Gaizaharjoz (Eastern Germanic Pikemen) Gaizaharjoz are very disciplined warriors who fight in a dense formation. They use a Germanic lance - the Speutan, a deadly and intimidating weapon with a very long spearhead. During their years of constant battle with hostile nations, they've developed new strategies for combat and defense, and learned early on to form an impenetrable burdahagon (shield-wall) to repel their attackers. |

A baggage train can supply armies even under harsh weather conditions, and is vital for prolonged military campaigns. |
