海軍造船所
Ships built and outfitted for war need a home port. For most civilisations, military dominance has always included mastery of the sea. It was always far easier to move men and material by sea than march them overland. Suppressing pirates and protecting trade was merely an extra benefit. Construction of good military vessels was therefore vital, with all kinds of ships from patrol biremes to colossal battle quinqueremes needed for a balanced force. Mastery of the sea prevented invasions too, and could even be a tool of diplomacy. By the Apamea treaty in 188BC, Rome limited the power of the Seleucid Empire by dictating the number of warships the Seleucids were allowed. When Antiochus V Eupator broke the treaty, the Romans sent delegations to Syrian cities, charged with sinking the excess warships.

Light Ship / 近接艦 / (Eas_Assault_Bireme) Assault Dieres - Nizagan A bireme is a 30 meter long oared warship (galley) with two decks of oars, thought to have been invented by the Phoenicians in the 8th century BCE. Often called a liburnia in later Roman fleets, these swift yet durable warships are excellent for boarding actions and coastal patrols. (Levy Spearmen) These poorly trained levy infantry are supplied by the great nobles (Azats) from their estates in the more settled regions of the empire. They are armed with a spear and a leather-covered wicker shield. Though they are ill-disciplined, these spearmen are capable of fighting in ordered ranks. |

Light Ship / 飛び道具艦 / (Eas_Pursuit_Hemolia) Pursuit Trihemiolia - Zubindar-i Payahdag The trihemiolia is a lighter version of the trireme, with two and a half rows of oars. Developed by the Rhodians, it has been their favoured ship design for centuries and is an ideal pirate hunter, able to keep up with lighter raiding ships. (Iranian Foot Archers) Weight of numbers brings its own quality to arrow fire from eastern archers. |

Medium Ship / 投擲兵器艦 / (Eas_Quinquereme_Ballista) Light Artillery Penteres - Lithobolos (Ship) A quinquereme is a 45 meter long galley with three decks of oars, in a pattern of 2-2-1 oarsmen, developed around 400 BCE by the Syracusans. Its large size allows many marines on board, and also allows ballistae to be mounted on the large decks. (Stone-Thrower) If a man can be seen, he can be hit. If hit, killed. |

Light Ship / 輸送船 / (Supply_Ship_Eastern) Supply Ship - Supply Crew These merchant ships can carry vast amounts of supplies, and are the best solution to supply forces operating on land. A fleet with a supply ship can supply nearby land forces until the fleet runs out of supplies. Supply lines by sea are generally less expensive than those on land. |
