小さな街 (鉛) Level 1
東方の小村 (鉛)
A small community founded for common goals and in shared beliefs.Small farming settlements were the backbone of ancient civilisations in the east, feeding the great cities such as Antioch and Seleucia. Situated to exploit good land, fishing, mining or quarrying, defence was often too expensive to be more than a secondary consideration. As the populations of the great cities increased, surplus food from these farming communities became essential. As small military garrisons were positioned to protect valuable resources and trade routes, there was a slow growth of many hamlets into towns, as people and trade passed.

Melee Infantry / 槍歩兵 / (AOR_6_Germanic_Levies) Gaizoz Frije (Germanic Levies) Gaizoz Frije, whose name also means “Free Spears,” are composed largely of local farmers and hunters, Germanic freemen of the lowest rank, accustomed to frequent raids and tribal warfare from a young age. According to Germanic tradition, as soon as these men receive their gaizaz (spear) and skelduz (shield), they are frije (free) adults, charged with equal shares and responsibilities in the tribe. Frije also means one's own, for to belong is to fulfill the duties of being free. |

Melee Infantry / 槍歩兵 / (kar_levy_spear) Spa (Kartvelian Levy Spearmen) These men are typical of the Caucasians who emerge from their mountains to raid the more fertile lowlands. To outsiders, the hillmen are a wild savage people, but they are also skilled hunters, making them superb ambushers. Armed with spears, swords, and round shields, they are a valuable addition to many forces. |

Missile Infantry / 飛び道具歩兵 / (kar_slinger) Meshurduleni (Kartvelian Slingers) Slingers are highly skilled missile troops, but are at a huge disadvantage in hand-to-hand combat, especially against cavalry. They can maintain a sustained and concentrated barrage on enemies, and then fall back rapidly to avoid hand-to-hand combat. |
