Though there is iron ore to be found in the south, and although iron tools have been made and used for many generations now, forging well-made weapons on a large scale has not been a priority for much of Nanman history.
However, with the raw materials to hand and a pressing need for more and better swords, spears and arrow tips, now is the time to develop these skills.
