Brine Spring

Salt is an essential part of a daily diet, found abundantly in meat, but less so in plants and vegetables.

As China’s primary food comes from farming, rather than hunting, additional sources of salt must be found. A brine spring is a natural occurrence that can be tapped for its salt reserves, then extracting the salt through the open pan method.

Though a brine spring only supplies a small amount, it must be drawing from a larger body of seawater, and early investment may lead to greater returns in the future.
