The main part of the imperial legion is the cohort, a unit of sword-wielding heavy infantry. Nine of these legions, plus a double-strength first cohort comprised of the best and most skilled soldiers, make up the body of the legion. Though made up of heavy infantry, cohorts are flexible and maneuverable formations that have no trouble moving about the battlefield. Legionary cavalry on the flanks can be used in a hammer-and-anvil attack, or to deter other cavalry, and some legions host ballistae artillery. This particular legion does not host any foreign auxiliaries units.
