The main corps of the Egyptian army are the Royal Mamluks. These regular soldiers belong to the Sultan himself. A small group within the Royal Mamluks are the elite Sibyan al-Khass 'Young Guard. These elite troops fight with a composite bow as well as a sword, and are protected by plate mail.REQUIRES CAIRO
