Fiends of Slaanesh

The hunting beasts of Slaanesh, scorpion-tailed abominations whose twitching gait belies the nightmarish speed at which they ride down new victims.

Fiends are incredibly swift, able to skitter and scuttle across all manner of terrain at frightening speed. There is something unnameably disturbing about a Fiend's gait, for its twitching dance rocks it from side to side. In this way, they take at least three or four steps for every pace they advance, splayed legs beating out an arrhythmic toccata which praises the glory of the Dark Prince of Chaos. The Fiends sing to one another as they run, emanating a high-pitched and pervasive chitter that few mortals consciously hear.

Abilities

  • Daemonic Instability
    As the Daemon's courage falters, their mortal form crumbles and fades from this reality.
  • Banished!
    Once the Daemon's courage has failed them, they will fall back through the portal to the Chaos Realm whence they belong.

Attributes

  • Causes Fear
    This unit frightens all enemy units, reducing their leadership when nearby. It is also immune to fear. Fear penalties do not stack.
  • Daemonic
    This unit is Daemonic (has physical resistance, does not rout, is immune to terror, takes damage when Leadership is low)
  • Devastating Flanker
    Entities with this attribute double their charge bonus when attacking the rear or flank of an entity.
  • Hide (forest)
    This unit can hide in forests until enemy units get too close.

Strengths & Weaknesses

  • Very Fast
    This unit can run circles around most other units, taunting and harassing the enemy or evading its missile fire.
  • Armour-Piercing
    The damage of armour-piercing weapons mostly ignores the armour of the target, making them the ideal choice against heavily-armoured enemies. They are often heavier and attack at a slower rate though, making them less efficient against poorly-armoured targets.
  • Soporific Musk
    The attacks of this unit reduce the enemy into a stupor, lowering their ability to attack and defend themselves.
