Chaos Lord (Chaos Dragon)

Chaos Lords take their blood-drenched blades into battle. Fighting endlessly, they are merciless and unrelenting in the fray.

Of all the mortal warriors across the civilisations of the world, Chaos Lords are the most feared, for they are truly like gods amongst men. Clad in baroque armour and rich furs, they tower above even other champions of Chaos, who are but feeble children by comparison. A Chaos Lord's indomitable will is forged in the fires of war, their skills tempered and honed in the crucible of battle, and their blades eternally quenched in blood. They are not only exceptional fighters but also merciless conquerors, great leaders and wily strategists, their names spoken in hushed whispers across the lands of the civilised, their violent deeds written in the blood of their enemies.

Attributes

  • Causes Fear
This unit frightens all enemy units, reducing their leadership when nearby. It is also immune to fear. Fear penalties do not stack.
  • Causes Terror
This unit can cause terror, making its melee target rout for a short time. Units that cause terror are immune to terror and fear themselves.
  • Encourage
This unit provides a leadership bonus to nearby allies. Units within range of both the Lord's aura and an encouraging unit will receive the larger of the two bonuses.
  • Can Fly
    This unit can fly.

Strengths & Weaknesses

  • Armoured
Armoured units can block damage from any source apart from Armour-Piercing damage.
  • Causes Terror
This unit can [[img:ui/battle ui/ability_icons/causes_terror.png]]cause terror, making its melee target rout for a short time. Units that cause terror are immune to terror and [[img:ui/battle ui/ability_icons/causes_fear.png]]fear themselves.
  • Scaly Skin
Scaly skin or hides help to dampen or deflect the damage caused by missile weapons, increasing this unit's [[img:ui/battle ui/ability_icons/resistance_missile.png]]Missile Resistance.
  • Armour-Piercing
The damage of armour-piercing weapons mostly ignores the armour of the target, making them the ideal choice against heavily-armoured enemies. They are often heavier and attack at a slower rate though, making them less efficient against poorly-armoured targets.
