Ghoritch

Monstrous mutant brawn and a warrior’s instinct make Ghoritch one of the greatest creations to ever emerge from Hell Pit.

Like many devoted to the Blood God, Ghoritch was once a frenzied Marauder Berserker who loved the thrill of battle and the tang of fresh blood upon his tongue. He served Archaon throughout the Storm of Chaos, but the creed of his true master ran strong in his veins, causing Ghoritch to lead a foolhardy attack on an Empire artillery train despite express orders to the contrary. Though he slew a score of men that day and lived to tell the tale, Ghoritch's tribe were cut down almost to a man. For his insubordination and failure, Archaon sent him to the Master Mutators of Clan Moulder for their unholy experiments. Even shackled and bound, Throt the Unclean could see Ghoritch was of exceptional stock, singling him out for the climax of a series of experiments and successfully transplanting the Berserker’s mind into the body of a heavily modified Rat Ogre without driving him mad in the process. The resulting combination of intellect and strength was perfect for quelling rebellious troops, and it was not long before Ghoritch had worked his way up to the rank of Chieftain. Naturally, Throt is less than pleased at the meteoric rise of his creation, and he hopes to one day create something better to bring about his dangerously-ambitious Chieftain's downfall.

Abilities

  • Evisceration
Consumed by all the rage of the Dark Gods themselves, Ghoritch turns himself into a whirling juggernaut of death.
  • Warp Frenzy
When Ghoritch fires up his Warpstone-powered piston-driven claws, everyone within his extensive reach witnesses the true meaning of violence!
  • Blood Shield
To his loyal followers, the Lord of Murder’s bellows of rage that echo throughout the multiverse strengthen them against cowardly sorceries.
  • Scurry Away!
"He who runs away lives to fight another day!" - so the foul, craven adage goes.
  • Frenzy
Some warriors care not for their own personal safety and so work themselves into a whirlwind of destruction and mindless violence!

Attributes

  • Causes Fear
This unit frightens all enemy units, reducing their leadership when nearby. It is also immune to fear. Fear penalties do not stack.
  • Causes Terror
This unit can cause terror, making its melee target rout for a short time. Units that cause terror are immune to terror and fear themselves.
  • Encourage
This unit provides a Lord's aura and an encouraging unit will receive the larger of the two bonuses.
  • Hide (forest)
This unit can hide in forests until enemy units get too close.
  • Immune to Psychology
The unit is immune to psychological attacks (fear and terror).
  • Moulder Monster
This is a unit created by Clan Moulder. Packmasters and Throt the Unclean can push it to its full combat potential and restore it in battle.

Strengths & Weaknesses

  • Armoured
Armoured units can block damage from any source apart from Armour-Piercing damage.
  • Causes Terror
    This unit can fear themselves.
  • Armour-Piercing
The damage of armour-piercing weapons mostly ignores the armour of the target, making them the ideal choice against heavily-armoured enemies. They are often heavier and attack at a slower rate though, making them less efficient against poorly-armoured targets.
  • Anti-Infantry
Anti-infantry units have an advantage against targets that are smaller than a horse. This advantage can be a damage bonus against small targets, superior weight used to smash through lighter enemies, or an explosive attack from range that affects a large area.
