At all times these beautiful warriors accompany the Everqueen, as her advisors and protectors.

Highest ranking of all the Sisters of Avelorn are the Handmaidens of the Everqueen. They are paragons of Elvenkind, as peerless in artistic pursuits as they are in the bloody business of battle. Should a Handmaiden grace the battlefield with her presence, she is treated with reverence by the High Elves that fight at her side. To serve as a Handmaiden is a great honour most commonly bestowed on those Sisters of Avelorn, who have proven their swiftness with blade, precision with bow and, above all, an unswerving loyalty to the Everqueen, many times over.

    The warriors of Avelorn are famed for their ability to fire and reload in the blink of an eye.
  • Martial Prowess
    High Elves excel as warriors, having trained in martial disciplines for the equivalent of many men's lifetimes.
  • Foe-Seeker
    There are those who wish nothing more than to be at the heart of battle, seeking foes to vanquish.

  • Charge Defence vs. Large
    When bracing, this unit negates the charge bonus of any large attacker.
  • Encourage
    This unit provides a Lord's aura and an encouraging unit will receive the larger of the two bonuses.
  • Hide (forest)
    This unit can hide in forests until enemy units get too close.

Strengths & Weaknesses

  • Charge Defence Against Large Foes
    When standing and bracing against a charge of large enemies (such as cavalry or monsters) this unit will negate the enemy's charge bonus.
  • Anti-Large
    Anti-large units have an advantage against targets that are at least as large as a horse. This advantage can be a damage bonus against large targets or an attack that focuses on a very small area. However, some units are simply better against large targets because their attacks are slow and easy to dodge by skilled melee combatants.
  • Bows of Avelorn
    Loosing arrows of mystical blue fire, they excel at setting vulnerable units ablaze and piercing the toughest armour.
