Death Hag (Cauldron of Blood)

Potions, poisons, and words of power, to affect weak minds or strike their owners down.

The Death Hags are the priestesses of the Witch Elves, the guardians of the Khaine's mysteries. It is they who mix the noxious potions that drive the Witch Elves into their battle-rage and they who craft the potions with which they taint their blades. They know also how to wield the secret names of their god as obscene weapons that can befuddle their foes or strike them down with madness.

  • Witchbrew
    Distilled from the blood of Hag Queens, this evil brew drives imbibers into an ecstasy of destruction.
  • Murderous Mastery
    Slaughter! There is no greater glorification of Khaine, the God of Murder, and no more popular form of worship amongst the Dark Elves. It is through killing that Dark Elves rise above other beings. Once engulfed in enough bloodshed, they will often feel their murderous prowess increase, as if Khaine himself was guiding the blades of his disciples.
  • Murderous Prowess Indicator
    Once enough blood has been shed, the Dark Elves’ murderous prowess increases, as if Khaine himself was guiding his disciples' blades!
  • Fury of Khaine
    As the blood in the cauldron boils and bubbles, Khaine drives bloodlust to a fever pitch and stokes hearts with a violent fire.
  • Bloodshield of Khaine
    Dark enchantments ensure that those who stand close to a Cauldron of Blood enjoy a degree of protection from the Bloody-handed God.
  • Foe-Seeker
    There are those who wish nothing more than to be at the heart of battle, seeking foes to vanquish.
  • Frenzy
    Some warriors care not for their own personal safety and so work themselves into a whirlwind of destruction and mindless violence!

Attributes

  • Causes Fear
    This unit frightens all enemy units, reducing their leadership when nearby. It is also immune to fear. Fear penalties do not stack.
  • Causes Terror
    This unit can cause terror, making its melee target rout for a short time. Units that cause terror are immune to terror and fear themselves.
  • Encourage
    This unit provides a Lord's aura and an encouraging unit will receive the larger of the two bonuses.

Strengths & Weaknesses

  • Armoured
    Armoured units can block damage from any source apart from Armour-Piercing damage.
  • Causes Terror
    This unit can fear themselves.
  • Anti-Infantry
    Anti-infantry units have an advantage against targets that are smaller than a horse. This advantage can be a damage bonus against small targets, superior weight used to smash through lighter enemies, or an explosive attack from range that effects a large area.
  • Poison Attacks
    The poisonous attacks of this unit weaken the target's speed and damage.
