Great Hawks
Vast wingspans blot out the sun just before razor-sharp beaks and rending talons maim and mutilate.Just like their close relatives the Great Eagles, Great Hawks have lived among the peaks since long before the rise of the lesser races. From the vantage points of their high eyries, they keep close watch on the world and their forest habitats below, carefully observing the deeds of ground-dwelling creatures. It takes considerable centuries to earn the trust of these noble creatures, and so thus far only those with a close relationship with the forest such as Elves and Tree Spirits have managed to do so. If shown that an alliance lies in their interest, Great Hawks need not always be bound by sorcery, but any bargain struck with them must be adhered to unless the bargainer wishes to find themselves on the wrong end of their deadly talons.

Attributes
- Causes Fear
This unit frightens all enemy units, reducing their leadership when nearby. It is also immune to fear. Fear penalties do not stack. - {{tr:guerrilla_deployment}}
Strengths & Weaknesses
- Forest Stalker
Wood Elf units gain accuracy benefits when fighting in forests. - Very Fast
This unit can run circles around most other units, taunting and harassing the enemy or evading its missile fire. - Vanguard Deployment
This unit can deploy in an expanded deployment area, allowing it to start the battle within striking distance of the enemy - or somewhere unexpected. - Armour-Piercing
The damage of armour-piercing weapons mostly ignores the armour of the target, making them the ideal choice against heavily-armoured enemies. They are often heavier and attack at a slower rate though, making them less efficient against poorly-armoured targets.
