Cave Bats
From the forest’s depths they appear without warning, a fluttering cacophony of horrible injury and gory death. The bat species that inhabit the darkest reaches of the forests are known to be some of nature’s most noisome and nasty assailants. When compelled to do harm, they appear from the shadows in a hail of claws and teeth to cause fatal injury to any caught in their deadly swarm. Out in the wild they are as any other flying carnivore with a taste for fresh blood, often thriving near the top of a territory’s food chain, at least for a time. Those familiar with forests of the Old World know to stay away from unfamiliar caves in the middle of woodlands rich in smaller fauna, for it is likely they are being inhabited as roosts by the foul, flying monsters.

Wood Elf units gain accuracy benefits when fighting in forests. - Weak Against Armour
