Polní trebuchety

Polní trebuchet je podstatnou součástí armádního vybavení, kdykoli se Bretonci pustí do nějakého obléhání, a menší verze těchto strojů bývají někdy nasazeny i na bitevním poli. Když jich sám král nařídil určité množství postavit na obranu Couronne, jejich obliba pochopitelně vzrostla. Přesto mají rytíři tendenci obléhacími stroji opovrhovat – a někteří odmítají jejich použití úplně. Vlastnit trebuchet je však také známkou značného bohatství, protože jejich výroba je časově náročná a každý kus musí řemeslníci sestavit individuálně. V Bretonnii žije jen několik lidí, kteří je dokážou vyrobit, a jejich služby jsou velmi žádané. Ačkoli by se rytíř nikdy nesnížil k tomu, aby sám obsluhoval střelnou nebo palnou zbraň, natož válečný stroj, mnoho z nich neochotně uznává jejich strategickou hodnotu a umožňují svým sloužícím nízkého původu, aby je používali – no co, však rolníci stejně nemají nejmenší šanci pochopit pojem cti!
