Raider Cavalry

Cavalry troops that rely on the speed of their mounts to charge into lightly-armoured enemies and chase down fleeing enemies.

Speed and mobility are more important to these mounted troops than armour, and at full gallop they have enough power to shock and stagger lightly-armoured enemies, softening them up for heavier allies.

The raiders’ strength is not in prolonged, close skirmishes, but their flexibility to move quickly across the battlefield and the initial impact of their spear-led charges.

This flexibility makes them useful for chasing down enemies attempting to flee the battlefield, quickly adding to the tally of enemy casualties.

Unit Abilities

  • Miasma
    The dense and tough undergrowth that plagues the jungles of the South is a hindrance to all those who try to penetrate into the heartlands of the Nanman.
  • Loose
    The unit spreads apart, making it more difficult for arrows to hit them.

  • RAIDER
    Idle soldiers will burn down nearby buildings.

Strengths & Weaknesses

  • Role: flanking
    Fast, agile and devastating - flanking units can turn the tide of battle with a well-timed charge or by routing enemy missile units.
  • Good against armour
    This unit's weapons allow it to pierce even the strongest enemy armour.
  • Weak against missile attacks
    This unit is unshielded and therefore has little defence against missile attacks.
