雙排漿座輕型突擊船 - Teceitos

公元前850年左右，吃水線撞角第一次安裝於艦船之上。戰船和海軍戰術發生改革。艦船不再是水面上步兵戰鬥的平台了；艦船本身變成了武器。隨著新的現實得到接受，大型槳帆船發生了變化。高速撞擊會鑿穿和擊沉敵人，因此這就要求艦船變得更加修長、迅速和輕便。對速度要求更高就需要有更多的槳，只有單列槳的快船最終會愚蠢地失敗。那麼解決辦法就是在第一組槳上面安置第二組槳，但是稍微錯開以便槳手坐下。這些雙列槳海船不再按照之前的設計，而將擁有兩倍的槳手。它們速度快，機動性好，並且可以承載戰鬥分遣隊。一些國家還給它們的雙列槳海船船員配備火罐；這些泥罐子裝滿油和瀝青，扔到敵船之後非常有可能使它們著火。

凱爾特戰士在劈開甚至是重甲敵人的最理想兵種。他們的斧頭有兩種：單手斧是很經典的，最好用的是雙手斧，他們也在用。對比劍來說，斧頭做起來造價不高，在對付鎖甲時也很高效，揮舞起來可以隔著護甲敲碎骨頭，壓碎內臟。他們也可以吸引側翼護甲，或是劈開他們。就像其他凱爾特戰士一樣，他們身著輕甲，單手大斧士兵則依靠盾牌進行防禦。這是一種很久遠的傳統了，也需要追溯到石器時代，那時的凱爾特文化對斧頭和錘子很尊敬。儘管兩者都與斧頭尤其相關，一個是很重要的商品，一個甚至被稱為是在公元前58到50年間的高盧戰爭勝利的象徵。
