Melee Infantry / 近接歩兵 / (Cel_Galatian_Royal_Guard) Galatai Agematos (Galatian Royal Guard) The Celts first settled in Anatolia during the 3rd century BC. The region they currently occupy has become known as Galatia because of their Gallic ancestry. The Galatians are fierce warriors who routinely sell their military expertise to their neighbours and are best known for their mercenary service in the Ptolemaic royal guard. |

Melee Infantry / パイク歩兵 / (Gal_Noble_Spears) Galatikoi Kuarothoroi (Galatian Noble Spearmen) Kuarothoroi are elite heavy spearmen recruited from among the Galatian tribes near the Pontic border. They carry long spears and wield large shields, which makes them ideal flankers against phalanx units. Kuarothoroi are capable of fighting various types of soldiers, putting them among the most versatile heavy infantry. They are particularly deadly against cavalry. An intelligent commander will place these armoured troops where the battle is likely to be the hardest fought. |

Melee Infantry / 近接歩兵 / (Gal_Axewarriors) Anatolikoi Phyletai (Anatolian Axemen) These troops are armed with a large axe in addition to a wooden, crescent-shaped shield similar to the old Greek Pelte. They favour bright clothing and often paint their shields in garish colours. Their charge is dangerous for most enemies and even the stoutest armour will suffer from their axes. However, being lightly protected themselves, their casualties will mount if they are engaged in a protracted melee. |

Melee Infantry / 近接歩兵 / (gal_light_elite_swordsmen) Trocmii Gaesatae (Trocmii Elite Warriors) The Trocmii are one of the three ancient tribes of Galatia. They fight mostly naked to emphasise their own ferocity and utter lack of fear. Scars and tattoos adorn their skin, and they let their hair grow wild. They carry only spears and shields, and have practically no discipline, but they can cause heavy casualties to most enemies. |

Melee Infantry / 近接歩兵 / (gal_medium_swordsmen) Tectosagii Botroas (Tectosagii Swordsmen) These troops are equipped with good swords and large shields. Every Galatian warlord worth his salt makes sure he has a few warbands of these hard men under his command. The Tectosagii are a group of Volcae who moved through Macedonia into Asia Minor circa 270 BCE. The Tectosagii are originally from the region of Gaul near Tolosa. |

Melee Infantry / 近接歩兵 / (Gal_Naked_Swordsman) Galatikoi Tindanotae (Naked Swordsmen) The Tindanotae (Ten-dan-ot-ay; Wild/Mad Men") are a product of the dying tradition of naked Celtic warriors. They are fierce, brave to the point of insanity, and able to break even well-disciplined formations with a furious charge preceded by a javelin strike. The Tindanotae can stand well in a melee, and their appearance is known to shake even the most experienced warriors. It is not unusual for Tindanotae to stand and fight until they are all dead, or their enemies are defeated." |

They are used as light, mobile warriors that hit in short strikes, or for flanking. They have also been used to break phalanxes." |

Missile Infantry / 飛び道具歩兵 / (Gal_Axemen) Katpatuka Zanteush (Cappadocian Skirmishers) These fierce tribesmen come from the ancient land of Cappadocia, called Katpatuka" by the Hittities - "land of the beautiful horses". The tribal warriors raised in the mountains of Cappadocia know the terrain and are well-equipped for mountain warfare with javelin and axe. They are not as effective away from these heights, as they lack the heavier armour of the Greek infantry. Their axes and javelins will allow them to give a good account of themselves but heavy melee should be avoided." |

These Uazali are skilled mountain fighters. Their name comes from the Lykian tongue, meaning Warriors," and is similar also to the words used by the other peoples along the southern coast of Asia Minor, whose languages all derive primarily from the Hittite tongue. The Uazali carry a solid rectangular shield and wear a solid Phrygian helm. For weapons, they carry several javelins and a xiphos sword, a popular weapon in Asia Minor." |

They are useful on the battlefield in a medium cavalry role. Lavotuxri fight in the same manner as Gallic cavalry in Western Europe, equipped with Gallic-style chainmail, Gallic helmets, and large round shields. They also carry Celtic longswords and spears. Their horses, if not stolen, are imported from the steppes north of the Pontus Euxinus, Armenia or even Media. |

Medium Ship / 近接艦 / (Bar_Medium_Raider) Medium Assault Raider - Teceitos Longboats able to withstand rough seas, these ships' crews can capture enemy vessels in any weather. (Celtic Axemen) The Teceitos are an often overlooked component of a Celtic army. Many Celtic warriors are buried with axes - particularly in Britain and Eastern Europe - despite the fact that axes are neither as prestigious nor as admired as swords and spears. The axe is a fine weapon, able to do great damage even through armour. Using axes as well as javelins, the Teceitos are especially useful for breaking up heavy infantry. They are also a great asset to chariots, being able to follow them into breaches in the enemy's' line. |
