Gallo-Thracian Infantry
The living embodiment of two fine martial cultures, these men are fast-moving, superior melee troops. In the century following their settlement at Tylis in northern Thrace, the remnants of Brennus' great Celtic migration did more than simply raid and pillage the surrounding territories. Over the years, a natural absorption of cultural ideas and military techniques occurred due to the Celts' close proximity to their Thracian neighbours. Inevitably, this process was strengthened by inter-marriage, eventually producing a new generation of Gallo-Thracian warriors. These men, the product of two such distinct martial cultures, were steeped in the best elements of each. As such, they fought as heroic swordsmen in the Celtic tradition, yet were instilled with the stealth and swift-footedness of the finest Thracian skirmishers. This combination of strengths ensured that to face the Gallo-Thracians in battle was an extremely dangerous proposition for any would-be foe.
