Saka Rauka Units
Missile Cavalry
Fast moving and with a long range, missile cavalry are great at harassing their enemies, but weak if pinned down in melee.

Cavalry / Missile Cavalry / (Ste_Armour_Horse_Archers) Spatahaura Hadabara (Saka Armoured Nobles) Their armour is made of relatively large square plaques, rather than smaller scales or lamellae, and the protection for the rider’s legs takes the shape of wide armoured chaps that, thanks to their size, also defend the horse’s flanks. Those designs may be ancient, but their very survival attests to their efficiency. In contrast, their offensive equipment is much more recent. They already carry composite bows and add long, stout kontos lances that allow them to mount a fearful charge after they have weakened their foes with archery. |

Cavalry / Missile Cavalry / (Ste_Noble_Horse_Archers) Ysaninu Aysna (Saka Noble Horse Archers) Protected with helmets and good quality scale armour, riding horses with frontal barding, and wielding stout spears, these Saka nobles can give a good account of themselves in hand to hand combat. Also, they are no less adept with the strong, composite bows they carry than poorer, more lightly-equipped horse archers and only slightly less agile. This combination makes them suitable for a variety of tasks. |

Cavalry / Missile Cavalry / (AOR_26_Yuezhi_Archers) Jamsya Yukhuna Duna Purma (Yuezhi Horse Archers) These horsemen make up the backbone of the Yuezhi cavalry, as horse-archers. As such, they are armed with extremely powerful composite bows of the asymmetrical, or "Hunnic" style. Their qualities as archers are offset by their performance in melee, as they are lightly armed and wear little to no armour. Used wisely, these mounted archers are a danger to any ill-prepared enemy. |
