Sources of Revenue

All cities must raise funds and secure sources of revenue in order to exist. Nowadays, no leader can afford to overlook such matters. Although taxation of the people is not a new idea, with proper organisation, we can also extract a portion of court fines, the proceeds from the sale of confiscated property, rent from public and sacred land, and profits from mining operations. Additionally, all mines on our territory are leased to private contractors, who shoulder the burden of the financial risk of their development and the acquisition of the thousands of slaves necessary to work them.
