As new navy tactics are developed, we are also developing our shipbuilding techniques in order to meet the challenges set by our Etruscan and Carthaginian rivals, lest our naval hegemony be broken. Our ships are now better built, with only the highest-quality timber being used and featuring major, war-winning design improvements such as reinforced hulls well capable of withstanding ramming actions, but without compromising manoeuvrability. This is how we will win and continue to rule the waves of the Mediterranean.
