Aglibol was the Palmyrene God of the Moon. He is often depicted standing at Baal side's, ready to serve him; even his name translates as 'Calf of Baal', further confirming his role as aide to the head of Palmyrene's pantheon. Aglibol was also considered to be a relation of the Phoenician goddess Astarte, Goddess of Love and War, and as such wore soldiers garb along with a moon halo across his shoulder signifying his affiliation with the lunar domain.
